Selected Works and Ongoing Series
Mixed Media on paper, canvas and panel, 2018 - Present
This collection, Calming Chaos, examines the tranquility and stillness that can exist even within life’s mayhem and discord. These works emerged from lived experience and the transformative capacity of artistic expression. As the series developed, its relevance became increasingly clear within a world defined by polarization and sustained unrest.
I have long been drawn to resolving the juxtaposition of diametrically opposed forces. As a metaphor for life, this body of work considers what it means to inhabit duality. For all those navigating internal or external turmoil, let this series propose not escape, but equilibrium.
“My abstract subject matter is a back and forth conversation of what life is like to live in the middle of two contrasting factions that always seem to be at odds. For me, these paintings are about finding the balance and allowing the space for opposites to reside simultaneously in unity and harmony.”
With this work, I seek to explore the enduring paradox of stability and instability, investigating the fulcrum where opposing forces meet. The inquiry centers on that precise point of balance, where contrast does not collapse into resolution, but remains held in dynamic relationship. I invite the viewer to be immersed in this collection to experience the calm within the chaos.
